taxin a pick up

mate is in process of lookin out for a pick up as a project any 1 know the story with taxin them is it commercial like a van if so need to be vat registered or is this brought in yet thanks
 
He needs to be a director at a company and show a copy of company registration when taxing it.
That`s what They wanted from Me last year.

Has nothing to do with tax.
I Had the VAN more than a Year so it was on My name already and taxed it the Year before but when it expired They wanted Me to go to the Motortax office and show them the documents.
 
The strictness on this seems to differ from one motor tax office to the next..
Heard of plenty of ppl getting away with it but then others are getting hassled for herd & vat numbers,
