Tdo6 49lb 430bhp turbo, low low miles,

Thinking of selling this turbo, it has produce around 430/430 on a 2.5 and only at 1.4 bar.
It has a 3"intake shroud which improves spool up, and makes it that bit different than the rest, i cant say i see any diffeence in spool up in it than a 20g
Damo fitted it to his car, which only covered maybe 3 or 4 k miles, and then i got the car and maybe at most put another 1k miles up on it.. Excellant turbo with proven power results. Direct bolt on with coolant pipes.
Looking 850euro for it

My mate bought a type-r sti the other day and was saying he wanted an upgrade turbo ,what way would this work on ej20?

ken, whats the crack with the 3" intake on the turbo, you i need a new intake pipe?

Yea you need a 3" inlet pipe, same as an Md turbo etc etc,
I reckon it be good on a 2ltr, i dont see much if any difference in it than a 20g, plus the fact on a type r low gearing he will be always up in the power band anyway so spooling wont be an issue really

sounds interesting,

whats the model? TD06??G

i'd have to convert my 2.5 to straight inlet turbo though :icon_rolleyes:

Known as an FP Green is States, they are a TD06 with a 49lb flow rate, very good Turbo,, Lot of Uk dealers are selling these turbos re branded as there own.

Ken can you tell us what intake you would need to suit this, and what else would need to be changed to accompany it thanks,I may be interested thanks

Well the turbo is direct fit, comes with everything needed, so just bolt on, if you mess around with your standardd heat shield it even fits to keep her discreet :) so that just shows you what a simple straight forward fit it is.
As an option, you can get standard compressor shroud or go 3", 3" is the way to go as it helps in loads of ways, including spool up, all the good turbos use 3" inlet,
So basically standard Subaru inlet is too small to go onto this turbo, but most guys damage the standard ones when removing them anyway, and get uprated samco or perrin ones, you just need to order the 3" one rather than the standard size one thats all,
it is just the mouth that slips up onto turbo is bigger, if you are genuinely interested i might b able to do something with the inlet pipe as part of deal to make it handier on you...
