i Had subarus for a good few years now and ive a 7yr old boy whos subaru mad and ive a 2yr old and ive another baby due at xmas and theres no way im selln my scooby infact im rebuilding the engine at the moment for more power i take d subaru out with kids at weekends when possible and have the missus car for when we want aswell does that some it up for ya...................go on buy it u know u want to

Get yourself a standard uk turbo or wrx.Not soo loud and cheaper to run than modded or high power vehicles.

Look at it this way..... Saloon or wagon, they all have a fair sized boot!!!
They have the power and the looks we all love

I have only ever had foresters! 98 jap S/turbo, 01 jap sti II and 06 Jap 2.5 sti (Jap foresters are much better than Irish/Uk)
All great family cars,
Scoobies are simply the best handling car in real life road conditions, and AWD and engine/transmition layout lend themselves to a perfect handling balance,
And enough power to overtake quickly and safely and get your family out of difficult situations!
Just service her regularly with good oil, Only run her on E5 and a bit of NF booster or better still get her mapped for irish fuel! and that's It
100% reliabilty and practicality and a car that you car have the craic in when you are by yourself!
And if you safe a few quid up from time to time, there are infinate modding possibilities to keep you busy!
Lots of bargans to be had at the moment!
I would highly recommend keeping an eye out in our for sale section. I think you already understand how important it is to know how to look after a scooby!
So if you buy from a member, then there is a much better chance the car has been looked after properly!

Loads of people here with kids and a scooby... If you can afford it, then get it... It is a great way to break from reality and with a 4 door you can still ferry the family around when needed

get yourself a nice uk spec wagon whatever year you can afford mine is a bugeye 01 and its a very practical car for kids or anything else you want to do with it and its very reliable the best about the wagons is that they are not the stereo typical subaru so dont attract any attention from the law but are as much fun as any saloon mine goes to trackdays here any in france and germany and i can bring spare wheels tools anything i need its a great car i love it and its my second wagon

Not to much in the insurance difference, mines an sti wagon, and both the same quotes.

No need for a wagon, a 4 door saloon is enough for 90% of families... You'd only need a wagon if you couldn't afford a hotel as it doubles as a camper with the seats down
