The car that killed the rally rep

French cars are very under rated here
I think there a lot better than some other brands that are held up as great
Some great fast French cars throughout the years

Whatever about the driving element, the interior I hate, over complicated, to work the radio or change the a/c settings requires a training course :banghead

Give me an Impreza or an Evo over a f**king Megane any day. Nowhere near as aggressive looking and will always be a sh1t looking car. It's just my opinion but I don't think I will ever come around to them.

Doesnt do it for me at all , could they ever have a cult following that the sti and evo had or still have ,

the way i look at it is , back in the day when ya seen a mk1/2/3 escort rs , xr3i , mexico etc , everyone would look because they are a cool car and every young lad wanted one when he grew up , sti imprezas and evos are much the same imo , so for that reason a hot megane will never draw the attention or desire a rally rep would , like if your kid turned around and said when i grow up i want a megane when im older , ya'd give him a good clip round the ear,

Everyone is entitled to there opinion lads and I'd rather be in my car over the gap than a megane even a 265cup nice as it is I don't like the modern ones interiors as said above stupidly complacated and I'll never forget the "issues" with em when I was in the car business this is backed up my a mate who had a Clio Williams mk2 savage car very special but fragile not a every day machine also he has a Clio v6 for the last few years same story simple problems result in lots of labour along with the 5 turbo above a fantastic event of a car fair play to Renault for building it.
I would consider buying a 182 trophy too drove one few years back very mentol little car however I wouldn't get rid of the subaru for any of em

if ya want a christmas tree all year round on yer dash then the renault is def the way to go :puke3:

I wouldn't buy one either but still huge respect for what they are capable of. A well driven Megane or Clio are very quick on a track

as above a well driven Renault sport is very quick, quicker than most scoobies or evo,s if we actually admit it.ffs it can lap the ring in 8.07 minutes

ye but to say it killed the rally rep is a bit far dont know many lads who'd get out of owning a scooby cossie or evo and buy a renult is my argument
