The mad yoke back up for sale

That's a fooking disgrace what's been done to that car!!! :angry1: :angry1: :angry1: :angry1: :angry1: :angry1:

Those MY95/96 Limited Edition McRae's (colour code 53C) are rare, rare cars and should be left standard!

Can't believe what's been done to that car! :snooty: :snooty:

there was a silver rwd classic imprewza "tryin" to drift round bishops court last weekend , seemed very underpowered :ponder2: :ponder2:

thats abit over the top jamie, it looks pretty good other wise and can always go back to awd, i'd actually love that and would love to make a s1/s2 replica out of it and then you could still have the fun with the rwd

It was all done to it in Japan-as long as its been in the country its never been concours anyway so why not i say. It seems to have been done with a proper kit-I recall thinking it was well converted anyway but I havent seen it in a few years.

Ahhh maybe so but it's only coz I have a bit of a soft spot for this V2 Sti V-limited 555 McRae cars and they are becoming very rare and sought after. I've been looking in the UK and it's so hard to find them clean and untouched with the original seats that have McRae & Grists signatures on them... they are all modded and it's just a shame to see them not in original condition like this one!

Anyways why would you want a RWD Impreza... they are meant to be 4WD.... and sure for that money there are so many better RWD cars out there!!!

i dont think theres an impreza left in the world thats standard

look at pete and nialls 22bs, or any other limited adition in the club, all modified,

and like every thing people like to be different and you dont see ever other scooby rwd

True... but I still reckon converting a Scoob to RWD is sacreligous! :wall:

And I'm sure the lads with rare cars like Pete & Niall would like the idea of havin all the orignal equipment there to fit back to the car if they choose... where as with that car your just getting a bastardised limited edition car and no hope of finding the rare equipment that went with it!

Don't get me wrong... I'm all into modding... specially with what I'm doing to my own car... but I reckon low number, limited edition cars should be left well alone! Just my opinion!

Could always convert her back to 4wd... wouldnt be majoer job, depending on what was changed.. if she was a minter and original apart from the rwd etc it b a good option...
cant understand the rwd conversion thing myself.. standard steering lock on 4wd cars are shite.. so wouldnt be that great of a rwd car

Been around loughrea most of the time its been in the country. Its far from a mint car so its well suited to the conversion. As far as I can recall it was just blanking plates that were used when the front shafts were removed-but I cant remember if they were a custom job or not

i was thinking it was up that side.... it must have been 5 years ago i was going thru loughrea and i met it coming out of it sideways....

Folks,

I know you's are talking about converting a scoob to RWD, but my scoob, with the DCCD when set to the bottom setting on the dash display is 100% RWD. I know this for a fact, as I had a bit of off road excursion during the summer in a silage field bringing lunch up to the tractor drivers. The car got a little bit bogged down on the rear, as I even got out for a look! Than adjusted the DCCD thumb wheel and hey presto the front wheels helped pull me free.

is that not 80/20 or 70/30?

Hi Alan,

No it was 100% rear wheel action, than I went up 1 setting on the thumb wheel and the front wheels started to pull a bit, not turning as fast as the rear but, still pulled me out though.

Your wrong its 65:35 You can't elimante the front without removing the drive shafts

Hi Dagnut,

There is no way I was mistaken, the rear wheels were spining freely and fronts not at all, than when the driver went up ONE setting on the DCCD thumb wheel, the front wheels spun noticeably slower than the rear but managed to pull the car out.

Hope this gives you some insight.
