Some time lads I will go. It would be epic... Some time
To get a quick feel of it Eoin, get a cheap Ryanair flight, hire a car, cheap accommodation, do a taxi run.
I went in Oct for a look, weekend that maybe VLN is on, get in early Friday, walk around pits Friday evening, racing Saturday, track open Sunday, get your taxi run. Home Sunday evening, good way to get a an idea about the place, some spot.
Some day be great to so one of dec's trips aswell.

skip Anglesey and head to the ring :icon_grin:it's simple , just drive right on by :icon_biggrin: I'm game for it

unfortunately not enough seats but if Ye flew out I'm sure laps could sorted :icon_omg::icon_grin:

I'd love to, I'm gonna see what way I can swing it for 2021, hopefully I'll have a bit of track experience in Mondello by then and all that and have a bit of incentive to get to the ring, hopefully.
As said, might try get over for a weekend too maybe, was looking at heading to Rock AM Ring too and they're practically on top of each other so would be a mighty weekend to get both ????

IV been going to the nurburgring since April 2006 every year until 2011 and every other year since then, so iv been 11 times as of this last trip 2019.
The nurburgring nordschlieffe is everything that you have ever heard about it. The most demanding, exciting track on the planet iv been there in 3 Wrx wagons a mini Cooper s and a forester iv also had the pleasure of driving lots of different model sti's and even a spec c and a couple of s204s thanks to the great lads iv had on different trips through the years. Of all the cars my favourite being @scoobysub (Joe's) s204 such an awesome car with great mods [emoji106].
IV always found the best way to enjoy the ring is to keep a tight leash on the speed and forget about chasing laptimes, I do time, but I don't chase times.
Iv been lucky enough to have had some great characters on the trips the biggest group being 2019 and absolutely no worries from anyone everyone looked out for each other and also non club members were made very welcome.
I will continue to go back to the ring for as long as I can [emoji16]
Since 2017 we have added the nurburgring 24h to the years we don't go for laps so I'm there every year now [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] could have an issue

I jumped in last year on a trip last minute. I'd been threatening to go for years and the opportunity came up so I said **** it let's go. I told work I was going. I didn't ask. I said I was going and that was it and if they didn't like it. Ballsy, but I was in a unique position at the time that allowed me to do it with no repercussions.

Cheap flight to Cologne. Rental Qashqai between 4 lads. Accommodation in Adenau for ?36 per night.

We arrived and pulled up at Devils Diner and walked up to a spectating point of the track. It all just hits you the minute you get out of the car. Everything is steeped in petrol. It is literally heaven. Even when it's quiet, there's a buzz. You can just feel it over your shoulder and on the edges of your ears.

Myself and one of the lads split a rental Clio for a trackday. Got it off ringfreaks. The other two lads got an e36 325 bimmer. Track manners were an absolute mess and it cost a lot of track time with closures, but it was a cheap day for what it was.

I did a taxi lap after the trackday during an evening TF session. I went with Apex in the GT2 RS. It's since had the MR pack upgrades over winter break and prices have gone up.

The lap blows your mind. It gives you a whole different perspective of what fast is.

I absolutely love the place. I need to get back over this year in some capacity, and I'll be taking the SpecC on the ISDC 2021 trip.

The place is magic.
