well no offence but if something goes wrong at that speed on a PUBLIC main road and you were coming the other way with your family and he lost control and hit you would it bother you if he had over taken someone or not then

as i said I'm not defending him..I'm just saying they said traffic at rush hour. it wasn't is all i'm saying its just typical of Ireland and our storytelling mentality that we just add these facts to things and they become accepted as true. the standard story doing the rounds is" did you here about the lad doing 155 in traffic"..that's all im saying he wasn't in traffic.
I find it hard to sit in judgement when I've done that myself. not excusing it i don't do it anymore..I had a costly lesson... but I have done and I'll admit it, I'm not gonna be a hypocrite.
Its good to see attitudes are changing I don't want to see any young lads needlessly dying on our roads if this lad gets caught and gets put off the road it might not just save his life but others around him and it will serve as a deterrent to anyone else who wants to try it.

that road is from donegal town to letterkenny and thats the stretch just before barns moore gap, just where the video goes off starts to get tricky and bumpy. ridiculous speed on a wet public road
 
Regardless of the details of the story,
That kind of speed, during the day, on a road with on coming traffic, in the wet, with a young lad who thinks that kind of thing is something to show off about is just plain wrong and stupid,
I've been wrong and stupid before,(not to that extent) but I can still say now that there is no excuse for that kinda of stupidity or anyone condoneing it!
"didn't seem to think anything wrong with that video" That would make a great headline in the papers! :clap:

this is ridiculus like all attention over this video hav you not looked on youtube there everywer people doing this speed in even worse conditions and they arent getting any attention for it just cause it happens over here every shits ther pants n kicks up bout it big deal get over like its done nothin more you can do n no matter what we say probly wont change anythin.

i didnt say it wasn't dangerous...but if if you have a clear road ahead and some on coming cars you would consider that traffic?
Ive made myself clear enough on this it was dangerous and stupid but IMO i wouldn't consider that in traffic as the story goes.

they made the story sound worse than it was iv seen loads videos like this on youtube thats why i dnt find it shocking much.

I don't see what the problem is..can't we debate a point now?..not everyone is going to agree all the time..the other thread got out of hand for various reasons but no one in this thread is condoning the speeders behaviour.
 
we all think its wrong and not to do it yes? and ther is no reason to video it? and can we all agree yes it was outa hand what he done? he did put lives at risk and was stupid yes? we cant all act inoscent n say we havnt done it be4 no matter what speed it is yes? and this video has got too much attention when ther are loads of other videos out ther which people are watchin on youtube that are alot worse than this. i say if u wana do it do it but its at your own risk. ;)

plus i dnt see why the big fuss over this cause all 1s that are goin against him u hav done it b4 so who hasnt broke the speed limit and dnt say but hes doin 145 or wat ever 70mph or 145mph both can kill n dnt say but i stick to speed limit cause yas dnt we all do it... :ponder:
