think of buying foz 2.5xt

hi all,

im new to the forum

am thinking of changing my car to a 05 Forester 2.5 xt, its for sale in belgard motors....

does any one know of this car....? im work with a guy who deals in cars a bit and he's had a couple of dealings with this guy and has advised me to avoid him, but this is the only 2.5xt manual i can find in a dealers who open to trades

im driving a 07 hyundai santa fe 2.2 crdi and i freaking hate the it..... bought it 3 years ago and its broke my heart, it only does 30k on front ball joints and 60~70k on front drive shafts. ive all ways wanted a wrx wagon but i need to tow a 22ft caravan "1800kg" fully loaded, so wrx wagon doesn't suite so next best thing is the 2.5 xt. my work run is short, only 24miles there and back and its all country road no lights, im also going to fit lpg, read up a bit on it on uk sites and contacted a few conversion companies up north and £1200 all in.

so cheers everyone, and if everything works out i'll be on here a bit more.... :thumbsup:

Personally I've never heard anything good about Belgard motors and if i was looking for a sugar in the area id head down the road to Newlands cross and talk to the lads in C&R

they are well known on here and well respected! Im sure they could source a good 1 for you easily enough or inspect 1 if you brought it down to them

tell them isdc recommended them to you aswell

The pictures seem to be taken in Sarsfield Motors and if this is the case my advise would be to steer clear, a work colleague bought an Audi out of there last year and has lots of trouble with the car, all sorted now but the experience was anything but good.
 
cheers lads.... yea its sarsfeild motors, was mixing it up with a 2.0 xt manual at belgard.... :icon_redface: I'm living in Care so if anything went wrong distance would be a night mare. was on to the service manager in C&R, Kevin i think the lads name was...and to be fair was very helpful on the phone, said to drop in with the car and would give it the once over before buying. i asked a around about the seller and mostly negative response, so might do a bit more hunting around and see if sonthing else comes on the market.
