thinking of changing

grum-glanza

Sunday Drivers
possible thinking of packing in the glanza was maybe thinking of getting a legacy b4 what would be the pro's and cons of me getting one as they are the only performance car i can get a quote on :wall:

With the way the price of petrol is at the minute and rumours of it hitting the two euro mark before the year is out , wouldn't have me lookin for a guzzler to be honest , and I find I'm havin to conserve the lower amount you get for your money !
€50 don't get you what it used to when I entered the Sti stable 4 years ago !

Petrol is a factor with any performance car, my old legacy was a good bit better on juice than my impreza.
I would highly rate them, had one for 4 years, comfortable, fast, big, well finished, easy to insure, tax not too bad, dont get too much attention from Gardai, handle well, 4WD.
B4 soon is selling a nice one. Thats where i would be looking if i were you.

cool thanks im in two minds on what to do i have money in one hand to put a savage turbo set up on the glanza and on the other im kinda going will i just buy something nice and big

Go and view one and drive it, best way to make up your mind.
Just make sure you look at a good one that has been minded.

if your no doing many miles it wont be that bad on petrol . remember diesel is not far behind petrol only the mpg that makes it look good . as to whether you should go b4 or spent it on the glanza is a call only you can make but you'll never see the money back from modding a car .which is no problem if its a keeper . money burning a hole in your pocket

Had one for 4 years as well and loved it. Excellent daily driver with plenty of performance. Won't handle like an impreza but if its set up right, it wont embarrass itself either. It'd be a step up from the glanza and a stepping stone to an impreza as well.

The only thing is if you are looking at it to use on track, the glanza with a turbo setup would be better craic.

b4's are a grand yoke graham but your running nice power with the glanza you have,
if you get a b4 its 280 standard and it will feel like a standard 1.3 starlet compared to the glanza you have now(b4's are a big heavy yoke)
b4's have a 60 litre tank if i remember right so thats over 90 y0 y0s to fill the ba*tard, get a single leggy turbo :icon_razz:
im half pissed so if any of the above stats are wrong i apoligise :icon_nana:

as said up to you
personally I think the leggy is not for you
judging bye the 2010 track day
I could not see you in a leggy as you will want to really mod it
and that will cost you big time
a b4 is a non l option in this equation
i may be wrong :iamwithstupid:

Ask yourself this....do you ever get pissed off with bouncing around the road in the glanza? If answer is yes then B4 all the way. And ridiculous pull in 3rd and 4th gears

B4 ALL THE WAY...them wee glanzas are only for women!!!!well in japan anyway!!! if your wanting good comfort & powerfull motor then id say go for a legacy, ive got mine over 3 years now, very happy with it,altho they need a lot more upkeep than a toyota!had my share of integras and civic typers and silvias!!!! good fun but if ur wanting a more sensible look and nice power and comfort go for a leggy, ive a wee man and the car couldnt be more ideal.....or else go evo!!!! :multijump:

i dont think you have seen my glanza there is pretty much everything done to it if i put this turbo set up into it, it will have no problem in pushing 400 to 500hp not that i'd ever be able to use that power but its nice to know its there im hopeing for 300 to 350hp for the trackday this year

tbh im thinking of staying with it whats another 3000 grand  for a savage set up
