well lads got the bits that got damaged in the fire today had a quick look over car and noticed that the bolts that come threw for the shocks one has snapped off which i had fitted day after i got the car just thinking of cutting my losses with it to be honest had nothing but headache since i brought it but at the same time dont want to sell it to someone else to have problems like ive had dont know what to do :wall:

Tbh when you get that feeling it never goes, you'll always have doubts about the car now I think, best start fresh

Sounds like you need to drop it into someone like one of the traders on here who know what they are at to give it a good going over

ah dont give up pal, but it has to be in your head 100 percent before ya do sell up

gonna get it fixed well try to just need to find somone who knows these cars as i wont feel safe in it till it is

Any of the trader's on here would be a good place to start, Dave in STiTuning, Ciaran in ASD, Ali Burrows up north, you wont go wrong with one of them.

as it was my daily car would need it sorted fairly soon nothing worse then relying on people for lifts everywhere

had crossed my mind mate but ideally if could get it fixed i would have it sorted

Would fix and get running again from were engine fire damaged.

As worth more running then breaking.

What is important to remember though is that you are repairing externally. And with no history on engine or how was built you could still face issues down the road. i.e. head gasket or bearing failure etc.

Luke my advice get her up and running again sell her on the fact that the previous owner (s)
Had it in questionable condition would worry me as dave said you dnt know the history ect and whats waiting for you..

If it were me move it on get yourself (if you take a little loss so be it) a newage much better than classics as everyday car few nice looking cheap bugs on done deal now
