I have heard about that car its a bugeye 00 with a blobeye front fitted apart from that dont know bout condition

Never thought of that,cheers. :tongue:I`ve heard of people doing that. I love the look of the blob eye scooby thats wht i`m tempted. Have been talking to the garage and have struck a deal so just having a think.. Anyone with any further info would be great. :subaru: :dance:
 
thats some car for the money

blobeye front end, brembos all round and limited sti interior and prodrive wheels all for 7 grand or less

it also has a 555 reg, nice

I know,i couldn`t believe it either, all that extra kit for that price. Somebody put alot of money and effort into it. It ticks all the right boxes especially the reg number :icon_grin: I`m gonna go with it,see you all soon with a scooby and full membership again...Back soon...!!! :subaru: :multijump:
 
SEEN THAT CAR ADVERTISED IN A DIFFERENT GARAGE 6 MONTHS AGO IN TALLAGHT AREA
A member on here told me of one of these that used to belong to a guy who worked in a subaru garage in the parts section hence the parts on her altough im not sure if this is the same car :dontknow:
but she is definetly the one that was for sale 6 months ago in a different garage remember the plate :thumbsup:

Just to point out the extras she has. Full front end from blob eye. Full rear end from a blob eye. Version 7 on STi side skirts, prodrive PFF7 18" alloy wheels. Black rare STi version 7 interior. Version 7 on STi rear spoiler. For that money it looks like a very ood buy as long as she wasn't tipped and needed everything replaced. And of couse Brembo's all round.

Regarding the 00 reg. The bug demo cars came into Ireland in November start of december.

my mate put a deposit on this car today

im going to see it tomorrow
 
Went down to see car. yesterday around 1pm.

Car sales man, didn't mention that someone put down deposit, and if i had brought my cash he would have sold it to me there and then.
Car looks ok, there a peice of board acting as a the boot floor, under the carpet. seperating the spare wheel, and a small leak comming in from the left had side of the rear window into the boot. not big, but still wet inside.
Car engine was hot when i arrived, but he informed me he was using the car.
Boot handle missing under driver seat.
Theres a logbook, with the car showing service stamps all in Ireland, but no more paperwork than that, i could see.

He was willing to give me a test drive, but as engine was hot, i asked to see it on saturday morning instead with my brother whos a mechanic, he promised me a cold engine.

Its a nice car, but like these preformance cars, they need abit more inspection and attention before purchase, as repairs are costly and difficult.

If car is sold before saturday , its sold.. if not, Im sure my bro will tell me if its a sound car or not.

My 2 cents anyways

he only put the deposit on it at about 4pm yesterday so that would explain above,

thanks for the heads up on the one or two issues

if i cant get to it today ill look at it tomorrow and post up what the crack is

Hey Duffman, yeah I put down a deposit about a week ago. Had some family issues so couldn`t get down sooner. Was down this morning to collect it but he was away buying some cars in Wexford. Going down tomorrow to finalise deal. But there is one issue that puzzles me. I did a motorcheck on it and it says that there are 8 previous owners on it. :ponder: Now it could be that it has been traded into a few garages and that was counted as an owner. :ponder2:He told me that it was traded in 2 weeks ago by some mid 40`s guy,could have been that subaru parts guy? Didn`t notice leak but will check again.

He told me he knows the pervious owner well,, he buys and trades with him alot, he said i could call him on his phone about the car, if i so wished, but i think the car was just passing through his hands.

Car seems to move around people alot.

He was using the car last weekend he told me, but now hes not using it any more incase Quote "something happened", which i thought was strange.

When i spoke to him, i said I'll get Mechanic to come look at engine on saturday, he said theres nothing wrong with the car, I told him about my concern's with the leak and few other bits, and he said he didn't like preformance cars and wants to just get rid of it.

the left hand side skirt seems to be loose/comming away from the body aswell near the rear arch ahlf an inch or so,
And there was an small damp oil stain around the bottom of the engine. could have been from the oil change?
theres a loose cig box in the drives side door pocket, which doesn't belong.
Get a good look under the back of the car also, looks like there was some rallying and body was never cleaned...
