Time Attack Project...

whats up, were building a gc8 time attack project the last while and thought id give yous a look at how were getting on.
so far we have stripped the complete shell, removed all sound deadening, removed all factory underbody sealer.
removed original boot floor and replaced it with sheet steel, seam welded full car from back to front and top to bottom,
it has a full multipoint weld in cage, and is about to go and get painted

the rest is a secret but will keep yous upto date as we get further on...

took another few photos today, we removed the front panel as were making our own. we also cut out the inside skin of the c pilars to save weight

going for pro class lad, but we will see how we get on, the main thing is to get the car finished so we can at least get a few track days in, and take it from there. what class are you in? what mods have you done?

Ya I'm in pro class but car is mostly standered outside except for suspension & brakes. Engine is 2.1 md321v and a few other bits . Only doin it to use the car sick of it sittin in the shed but kinda getting
Serious about it now it great crack.. Thinking of putting 22b kit on over the winter if I can get one cheep enough . If your stuck for anything give me a shout might be able to help you out. Best of luck

Futher update: Engine spec: EJ20 closed deck block getting rear thrust conversion. 2.5 crank, 2.1 wossner stroker kit including rods and pistons, acl race series bearings, rcm hi flow oil pump, EMT baffeld sump, rcm lightweight pulley set, 14 mm head studs. heads are ver8 sti heads getting valves springs and retainers, EMT ported and reversed inlet manifold.

Turbo Setup: Rcm rotated turbo setup, gt30-35 (depending on track venue), tial external waste gate, 100mm k&n induction kit.

Ecu: autronic management system with anti lag and launch control.
