Thanks Gary. I know feic all but I'm always willing to help and I've a good memory and anyone that I lean a bit of trust to I'll rely on them. I'm not a mechanic, and nowhere near to a Subaru specialist especially, but I wont see someone stuck if I can help out or guide them.
Must be true so

Dave, I hope I'm in the wrong (I'll admit if I am) but I don't get your angle here? What you don't know about Subaru can be written on a postage stamp. I can't write anything because I don't know what I don't know. I know far less than someone in the trade and a lot less than someone who specialises in Subaru.
I've never changed a belt on an EJ from Japan, so I couldn't tell you what comes from factory. I'd imagine you and Ciaran have. I don't have access to the same database etc that you would. I don't have the experience you do.
So your reply isn't fair to me. I don't know if it's Dayco or Mitsuboshi. What I said was based on a presumption I made from the information I had access to. Information from a thread that you participated in, but didn't correct at the time. Possibility you missed it.
The couple times that we've had a chat I loved it. You're a wealth of knowledge and aside from Subaru and work etc, I've always had a gut feeling you're an exceptional person who'd go above and beyond.
I dunno. I'm done with seeing the bad in the world. I try see the best and I try to help. That's all. I gain nothing from misinforming members.
