anyone watchin last night??

cant remember the car but it was a on same review as new z4 , and it was silver ,,

anywho , when dropping to a lower gear she automatically adjusts the revs to suit , kinda like the "heel and toe " technique . :icon_headbang:

very cool to see this new technology, maybe a first in production cars :dontknow:

Do one of the ferraris not do this already? Dagnut you'd be the man to answer this question.

Clever stuff alright,
I wonder can it be turned off, so you can avail of engine breaking, it's a nice touch for lads that find it difficult to heal and toe,
It would annoy me to be honest,
Is suppose it's a safety thing really, she's a very short wheelbased car, so she'd be twitchy and if you were to suddenly let of the clutch without matching the revs mid corner she would swap ends very quickly on a "normal" driver,
Damn car manufacturers are always dulling down the sports cars to keep "normal" drivers from killing themselves with a good car!
Scoobies are all setup to understeer (for safety) when just a bit of neg camber on the front fixes that, ever Look at any M3 BMW, they all have about 2 deg neg camber on the back, and 0 on the front to keep the back planted while cornering and encourage the front to let go!
The big thing for all the car reviewers to say is that scoobies understeer, when a simple geometry setup would sort it!
Jaysus, I'm grumpy today!

But you're damn right, Dan!

First thing I would be looking for in this car .. is to switch "this thing" off. I can totally rely on my own feet :hand:

A lot of twin clutch dsg gearboxs have had it a while but this is the first manual with it..nice idea I think you can swtcih it off so I dont see how it affects anyone..90% of people who buy this car won't even understand what heel toe and double declutching is....its a drivers aid and not a safety device

People that dont know how to drive a "sports car" should stick to their "normal" cars and leave the fun stuff to better drivers

Less road deaths will happen that way......

(my opinions may offend from time to time)

Thats the thing with sports cars they dont get driven..and you'll run out of talent a lot quicker in a 370 with drivers aids of than you will in a awd drive subaru
