Just curious as to why the Legacy B4 speedo only goes to 180KMPH when the top speed is 250KMPH, its not even close? From my experience, the clock usually goes higher than the top speed? Well, thats what I thought :wazzup:

I got the figure of 250KMPH off the web, I've never seen past 100MPH hahahahaha
 
Would that be because yours is JDM jap import,so limited to 112mph/180kmph? European models have 250kmph/150mph numbers. :thumbsup:
 
Don't think their was a European twin turbo. So unless you get it de limited yer not gonna get it past 180k. Not that you'd want to :angel:
 
ive a gen 2 leggy and ive 240kph sti clocks in it.

also england got a leggy model so that be over the 180 mark as you have a jap as stated..

ive also seen think its v5 or v6 sti clocks put in yours. :ponder2:
 
just get a digital speedo converter of ebay for 40 notes and your clocks with change from kph to mph, your milage will also read in miles so ull have to get that sorted by a pro and your car will be delimited aswell......and then wait for the bang.....

as per above a digital speedo will only convert from km to mhp and show you top spedd but you'll deffo need a HKS Universal delimiter to go over 180km... :thumbsup:
 
the one i got off ebay for my mates sti is a speedo converter and delimiter chip....
just type subaru speedo converter into ebay and see.....cheaps as chips and no need for that hks thing............
 
The Legacy's dont like top speed, ive heard the scoop is very inefficient over a certain speed. Due to its small size air gets deflected over it when really pushin up the clock.
Last thing you need is no air gettin to intercooler!
 
Mine was delimited when i got it as was my 95 was told both hit 140 easy enough although i would never try it myself :icon_biggrin:
even had the limiter put back on so i wouldnt be tempted or blow it up

I know to drive they are better in 3rd-4th-5th than lower gears but i think the intercooler isnt efficiently cooled going 100+mph due to design of small bonnet scoop and flat face front.

I can tell you from personal experience that a sustained 130-150mph is no problem..I also left a Holden V8 and an M3 at the limited 155
