Anyone know were i will get some touch up paint in specific colours? Would it be possible to get one for a Subaru 18L colour or is it a case of getting one as close as possible? Have a few stone chips and trolley dings :angry1: that i'd like to clear up.

Once you have the paint code you should be ok but if you want to be realy sure leave the petrol flap
with them and they will get it spot on, i think pr reily in kilbarack are ment to be good at colour matching

halfords will make up any colour once you have the code cheap enough as well i got some of them recently for my car and its a perfect match

I got one from Halfords before and the silver i requested came out nearly black.. They are jokers... Better sticking to reputable professional paint shops in my opinion, especially for cars you care about..

got mine off the site trader here

"Lusk Motor Group - Subaru Dealers"

tel: 01-8956808 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting01-8956808end_of_the_skype_highlighting

Try Stephen in J&S Motor Factors on York Road in Dun Laoghaire.

He's really good at colour matchin and will do either a can of touch up paint or a 500mm Aerosol!

Never had any probs with paints he's mixed matching!

Colour matched tin of paint... 1 fine tipped artbrush... and a steady hand!

EDIT.. Not as easy with high metalic paints though... always looks darker when painted on! Solid colour cars... white, black are much easier!!

Let each layer dry, then add laquer (if necessary for your car) until it is slightly raised above the suface paint.. Then block down with 2000 grade paper and polish out the sanding marks and you'll never know it was there

A cocktail stick is also a very useful tool for the job
