As above was looking at a civic with Integra running gear and engine but it sold
so I'm back on dd looking for another one.
one is a Clio 172 for handy money and the other is an ex itcc fiesta st bit more expensive
so my question is what one would you pick.
I can't put up links to the cars maybe someone can as I'm working off my phone
your help would be great
also if anyone knows of another car for sale
Cheers
keith

That's them colm thanks
the Clio has had a lot of work done to it so should be sound for a long time but I like the look of the fiesta
they will prob only see 4/5 track days a year

Buy a standard fiesta stick a puma. 1.7 in and coilovers and seat with a roll cage you will be out less than that patch fiesta and a lot faster

Just don't have the time or space to build something so needs to be ready to go
you not think that st would be a good car dec

Be a great car keith a lot of money for a track car but it does come with a spare car and is fully set up and that engine has massive tuning potential cosworth are running them to over 300 bhp naturally aspirated brilliant engine

I'd go for fiesta simply because of the power. Those Cilos do not make 172bhp or anything like it... Those Duratek's make a solid 170 with better torque

I haven't tracked fords so can't comment on them, I have tracked clio 172, clio Williams, clio 182, great handling car and plenty of power, a well sorted clio 172 is a serious track car and thatone is great value imo

Cheers for all the help lads
the Clio is good value but engines and gearboxes and stuff are hard got now fiesta is better as that engine in in alot of stuff

Nice Dec but after I put coilovers and cage and all in it would be to expensive need something that's stripped out and ready to go
was looking at a civic like bazs one with loads done to it but it sold it would have been perfect for me.
there is a track Integra on dd but looking 5k for it it's ex itcc car but it's had some amount of bangs but he won't move on price and its just out of budget

Stay away from mivecs they chew themselves for sport

That sir be nice . You don't need a cage or coilovers straight away Keith . Great engine the b16

a cheap stripped out civic , with coilovers for handy money is what you want

There was a thread about that fiesta somewhere before. Been for sale a long while or it's up again. It has some gremlins. Main one being it keeps going in to safety limp mode after a couple laps.

It was going into limp after a few laps I heard a story about that but it was down to the abs been disconnect the ecu was going into limp
New ecu has been fitted a gotec ecu and that sorted the issue

I'm collecting my saxo vts tomorrow for track day car can't wait good luck with your search,
That Feista on donedeal looks like fun:)
