Cheers ya good to know where I'm at I'm sure I can find another 2 seconds in myself and try squeeze another1 or 2 from the car after some more work so if I can down into the 2:04's I'll be well in the hunt for my class:)

Stripping back the loom all the way back to the fuse box,any wire not needed is going.

With all the boot locking system stripped out I have fitted new spring fasteners.
Round 3 in Time attack I done two laps with the boot open and this cost me 2 seconds on them Laps:(
These should be more reliable setup.

Holy fuk that's a lot of fuel Keith that would do harm long therm!
That will be some machine when ya get your map sorted.Who are you getting to map it?
I have been trying to get Aungous Power all week to see if he can map mine and just can't get him.

You 2 never stopped car was out all day ha ha
Galway is just a long haul for me a I know John woods who owns black church motors so Joe power mapps from there so I'll get him to map it
Dec would know if a final drive from another Ford box would fit that ib5+ box
I'm hoping the map might help but it just felt like the gearing was all wrong like it needs shorter gearing

We all need shorter gearing Keith I'd love to be hitting the limiter in 4 th down the main straight:(
Wonder could joe power do mine up there I just can't get the other lad on the phone..

Adrian, you need a gearbox out of a pug 106 rallye, they have shorter gears and would be great on track, Hardish to come by but I say you would pick one up on the rallye register forum

I believe the 106 xsi is good too.
There was a nice 106 cup car box on donedeal but he wanted 1600[emoji15]

Sorry meant to get back to ya I'll have a look on the ford etis and check some ratios for man I'd say the diesel is probably the best option what ratio have you now

Ok just had a look and ford quote
1.25/1.4 fiesta/focus etc
Has 4.27 final drive
Focus/fiesta 1.6l has a 4.25 final drive
I have a 4.27 in the ka and it's very well suited to mondello, even compared to Adrian saxo I am usually a gear higher for the same corner

No hassle man, just go to a scrappy and get a box from a fiesta or focus petrol 04-08 and transfer what you need keith, Ciaran will sort it for ya
