i have a 1996 jap wrx, i had a boost gauge put in the other day and i was just wondering wat it should read when im driving, it is in bar, and when im driving along and put the foot down it goes all the way to 1.5. would that be right?
 
No! way above! standard wrx is 0.9bar-1.0bar you must have performance ecu or chip from japan! be careful! 100ron is defo needed!" especially for modded jap ecu..it will want an average of 100ron!
 
that is totally totally way off....................

surprised your car still going boosting that level unless gauge reading wrong....
 
so should i get it turned down or something, when i put the boot down it will go all the way to the end of the gauge, as soon as i lift my foot it goes back to the start etc
 
it was fitted by xtreme autos in waterford, maybe it is just the gauge is wrong, but it seems to be wroking fine, it idles well below the zero mark not exactly sure wat - it is on, then as soon as i punch the gas it shoots straight up.
 
Defo something wrong,does it boost to 1.5 then settle back down to 1.0/0.9 bar...
 
you should be reading -0.6 or -0.7 BAR at idle. and 0.9 BAR to 1BAR at full boost.
