As promised here is the response to the email I sent to the NCT head office:
"Thank you for your recent email. Can you please provide your registration number or the registration numbers of any of the Subaru Impreza you refer to so I can look into the reason for failure of these vehicles. Or alternatively please provide a contact number for yourself to discuss this matter."
@ wagon dec: Can you please pm me your mates reg number (if it's ok by him).
Anyone else who has received a failure for this can they also pm me their reg number. I have the contact details of the person looking into this in the NCT head office so it may be better if the correspondence/complaints come from a single source to simplify things.
The fact that the NCT are willing to investigate this and didn't respond with a "No E mark is a fail" I am suspecting that this may not be the official stance of the NCT on the matter.
Alternatively if you would prefer to deal with this yourself I can pm members the contact details of the person dealing with this complaint, but as above it may be better if the complaints come from a single source.
I think we need to stick together and act fast on this as this could snowball into a lot of problems for members with Type R's and JDM scooby's.
