Type R for sale(SOLD)

Im putting my Type R up for sale. Never thought i would but its been sitting there too long now.

Its a 1998 version 5 type R but the big end is knocking so needs a rebuild or new short motor fitted.
Its been off the road since last september when it happened.

Rough spec is:
TSL motor sport sports cat down pipe and HKS silent hi power cat back.
Mapped by Andy forrest.
Stoptech big brake kit and drilled floating discs on the front
Brembo conversion on the back.
Whiteline rear anti roll bar and alloy drop links
Whiteline Anti lift kit on the front
Sti genome boost guage and defi controller
22B front bumper, genuine Subaru item i believe.

sorry to see ya selling up matt,
thought you would of got her rebuilt, i know you put an awful lot of blood, sweat and tears into that car.
it will make a great car for whoever gets it from you,

To be honest, i wan't to get it fixed, but everytime i nearly had the money i lost my job.
Im in work now but can't justify the cost of running it with work being so unpredictable.

If i don't get any reasonable offers, ill keep it and fix it as soon as i can then decide if i should sell it or keep it.

i understand matt your situation fully, its a tough one alright,
you have done so well to hold onto it for as long as you have but id say you'd end up regretting it big time
if you do end up selling as you have put so much into it to get it where it is today imho,
i wish you the best either way in whatever you decide to do mate :thumbsup:

work is crap out there at the minute, ive only worked for two weeks in jan and feb, if i dont get work soon i'll be selling to.

back on topic, its a sweet car and lads were crying out for type r's with engines gone for a long time, lets see were they are now

@James, your right i will regret it. Im not selling because i need the money off the sale, i just can't see how/when ill be able to afford to keep it on the road with insurance etc.
So ill be holding onto it unless i get a good offer. Cheers

@Jonathan, hope you get some work in soon. Its up and down from week to week with us. I was on 3 days a week the last few months, then got let go. Now back on full time but may only be until this job is finished in 3-4 weeks.

@Mark, I think if i had a garage id pull the engine out myself and rebuild it. Nothing to loose. Ive even thought about buying a shed for out the back but it would need to be a reasonable size.
Ive thought about it a lot, but everytime it boils down to running and maintaining the car after its back on the road. Possible with a full time secure job but not when i don't know where i stand from week to week.

As Mark says Matt hang onto her mate and she'll get done all in your own time, its a beaut of a car and if you sell her you'll regret it.

Best of luck with the sale Matt.

Mint gets thrown around when it comes to car sales too much these days, but this car is a proper cracker for anyone interested in it IMO! :thumbsup:
