thats her thanks duffman man i need to work on this computer more my 2 year old no's more then me

dont worry john, i was like you when i first got on this site, i hadnt a clue what i was doing.

as for that car, in my opinion it looks like it has got paint at some stage, some of the badges are not right, its missing the pink sti badge on the grill and front wings, the fog light badges are not orginal either and also the side and rear badge dont look right, there not the ones that come on the car. the front lights are also off a later model, i cant work out if its a v3/v4(different dash) from the pictures. a car with that many miles and unmapped in my opinion wont last much longer i.e. the bottom end will go and would would be looking at a rebuild at a cost of around 3k.

now infairness its a cheap car for the price but dont except to buy it and drive it without no problems for the next year or two.

get someone that knows subarus to look at it for you to see is it a straight car but even they wont be able to tell you if the bottom end is on the way out

I'd be after a car Johnoo that's been mapped for Irish fuel. There's something questionable about the front of that car too as pointed out by Johnny... :ponder2:

They are amazing cars... but savagely expensive on fuel.. and general running costs too! Be sure it's had a recent belt done including tensioners/guides etc. Another expensive outlay on any Subaru is a clutch so make sure there's plenty of life left in it as it's not the sort of expense you want early on in ownership.

If you have any concerns over that car having accident damage when you see it... I'd walk away. There are plenty of nice type r's for sale at the moment and going for similiar enough money. I know very few Impreza's haven't had a knock at some point or another... but I'd always hold out for one that's as straight as possible.

ya i thought the front of them had pink badges on the grill and the stickers on the side 2 got me thinking and did't no bout the re-map thing but glad i asked here first will get some1 who no's them inside out again thanks so much for the help at least i have a few more things i need to ask him thanks

Hold out and buy a V5 or V6 TypeR v Limited with roof hatch and newer interior. There has been 2 V5 sold here for 4500, i wouldnt consider the v4 when a v5 v limited can be got for same money.

well looking at type r and 5 door subaru's as long as there mint and engine and gearbox all gud then im there
