That seems to be real well specd, over specd if anything with twin pumps and swirl pot etc etc... from what i read its ready for a 400hp turbo to be bolted on to it

That's my mates car.very clean and a stupid world of money
Spent on it.
You won't get better for 5k

Cheers lads, I see he's finally put some decent pics of it up  .. Say its some weapon but is the power a little low for a 20G on a 2.5? or is it just running a very safe map? Is it still runing an R160 rear diff or did he upgrade to it an R180 from the later type-r's Graham? Any box upgrade?

Wonder was it a new 2.5 standard bock or has it been upgraded??? 2,5 standard pistons arent the best, so if it still has them scratch my 400 idea and maybe look at 380bhp..
doesnt seem to be big bhp for a 20g, could be a 95 map but i would have expected a bit more... loads of possibilities, over safe map, 95 map, bad map, bad 20g, bad engine build i.e comp rato etc etc Its producing massive torque considering the bhp... wonder are the figures accurate? i would expect 380bhp/400ftlbs on 2.5 myself

Lads haven't a clue what's done.
I do know the box was only rebuilt as it was giving trouble
Being mapped.it's mapped very safe at the moment.
It's driven very rarely since rebuild.
Great car for somebody though, can't believe it's only worth 5k.

Ring him he won't bite!!

Hi guys,
The one Graham is on about is my car. Nice quick car, don't have the time anymore hence she has to go.
My number is 0860821244.
The car was mapped by Martin Tracey.
And never ran on anything but maxol juice with millers octane,
I prefer to be safe than sorry.

http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2092464 this one looks mint and he says he will sell for 5.7k without the after market ecu so might be worth a look mate

That's one expensive ecu :shock2: .. My thoughts on that are even if i buy without the ecu, then I'm going to have to spend the guts of a grand on mapping it anyway. Then it's closing in on 100,000miles with no mention of a rebuild so with that in mind, i wouldn't take a chance on it. Could you get a 98 V5? Wonder why he upgraded a V5 spoiler to a V6 one :ponder2:

I'm not sure colm, i tried to get a vrt quote on a couple of uk reg's but they didn't come up with anything. Best i could do was guess some details and came up with a firgure of about €900 which i think is wrong. Can anyone get an accurate vrt quote on a type r?
