UEL headers on NA Impreza

Apparently you can't cut a sport bonnet to fit the scoop as it removes 2 much strength from the bonnet and it will sag with the weight of the scoop

I haven't even planned to do so:D with my skills, it'd look disasterous:D Problem is that the full bonnet on ebay is arround 500yoyos, without postage... which is another 120yoyos... :( so unless there will be some hawk for breaking I randomly come across, I will just keep it that way.

By the way, doesn't that scoop have negative impact, in terms of aerodynamics of the vehicle?

Aaaand, here we go again,

So I have done a mistake, while my NCT goes in January, I completely forgot that during xmas I will have about 2 weeks off work and my GF will be at work, so I will be bored at home... so not to be bored, I thought I could do this.

Question is, is that going to pass the NCT considering that the Catback will stay same?
Also, will they on NCT look at the heatwraps that I am planning to use, as something they could fail me on?

It would be kinda pain doing all the work before NCT to just find out they will fail me, to change all of it back and then do it again just to pass NCT.

500 for the Bonnet is cheap man , from memory i paid between 1000 to 1500 unpainted , woulnt be worried about aerodynamics now lol ,

whats the heat wrap for

The original aluminium heatwraps got their bolts rusted, plus I want to install the UEL header that doesnt have them, so I am planning to replace the whole system with these heatwraps.

Paying 1000-1500yoyos for bonnet that will not give me any handling improvement seems to be a bit off for the moment... maybe when I get to the point that there is nothing else to spend money for... and foremost, one way or another, I am trying to keep the costs that I am pumping into the car on minimum...

It was stupid money I paid for it all right . But different times and money was easy got .

Probably better saving the cash and upgrading to an sti in hindsight

I aint saying its stupidly spent money, its just that I don't get that easy around money and I need to justify every 50euro spent on the car to my girlfriend:D

I was trying several times before, I know it would not be crazy more much and I might consider buying WRX probably next year. This year I will stick with this one, I am happy with her, after all, she is in great condition and the things I am modding are for the pure modding feel, nothing else. I am currently happy with the power I am getting, I just enjoy getting bits and pieces done to her:) Even more if I can find used or cheap stuff and do it myself, it gives me more satisfaction, than buying already done car, where there is not much to be done:)

btw, since last time, I am getting petrol only at Texaco, and that power issue never happened again... so I believe it was the knocking sensor acting up
