Very Cheap Power

Yep that car was owned/built/mapped by mister Bob Rawle himself. Its up on scoobynet.

I'd loved to see the dyno graph for that car,
I relatively low compression 2 litre, with a 6000rpm rev limit, and a turbo big enough for 500bhp
Very nice car, I like the engine bay, it's nice a simple!
I'm sure she's impecably reliable also!

is it that cheap but? 9k...at the end of the day its a modified car with 150,000 miles on it..60k miles on a 485bhp 2 litre engine is a lot

I certainly dont think that car could be built for that money.......

But as Dagnut says 150,000 on the clock on a modified car that probably not had the easiest of lives (with havin antilag, launch control etc)
Id say its not that cheap really......

Just my opinion

I saw an 02 STI prodirve in black, porsche brakes, 450bhp fully forged build...too many extras to even remember ..methanol spray for his FMIC..he only wanted 10k for it...I know you can't build cars for that money but sometimes things are not worth the sum of their parts...

what i mean is its cheap because if you had to start with a standard impreza, theres no way you would get it to that spec for that money.

my engine to get it to 380 will cost me round 5k roughly not forged and nothing like the spec of that engine.

iv als and launch control on my car, (set to mild) how many people with it on there road car actually use it.
once in a blue moon to scare a few passer bys and a track day i use it.
doubt it would affect the life of the turbo, manifold and exhaust unless it was on full time and fully blown als.
