VF28 Turbo wanted

Cheers Brian,

I'm not sure myself, but would be great if it was

@ DavetypeR - Dunno if I'd trust a turbo off ebay, they can say mass on there and then you get it and its fecked. But cheers for the link man

If it’s a guaranteed quality turbo ya need then you’re best off going down the remanufactured route. Other than checking for no shaft play and all the fins are intact etc there is no real way of knowing just how good it really is until you install the turbo. VF28’s are getting a bit old now so you’ll always have some risk involved going second hand. Scoobybits are currently doing remanufactured VF28’s for £550. With the current exchange rate that’s not too bad for a 12month guaranteed VF turbo.

TommyM: The turbo type is easily read off the compressor housing plate with it installed. You may need a flashlight and to push some of the hoses down a few mm’s that run across in front the plate. It’s the first line on the plate that will give you the VF number

Why are you looking for a VF28????
Is it for your 2.5??
Defo go for a 20g, I highly recommend on a 2.5, 390bhp, 400 lb/ft easy! full boost from under 3K rpm
