34 and 35 are single scroll found on uk sti blobs
taught the vf 34 was sti uk blob and the vf35 was jdm v7 sti single scroll.....

And which one is the preferred one? I heard the VF35 takes it's tine spooling up but has better lines (on a dyno)

I could be completely wrong though haha

Think the vf34 will give more power than the 35. But think both can be hard to find in good condition

V7 vf30.
stand corrected dave,,,

Vf30 and vf34 aren't far off each other characteristic wise. Both have p18 exhaust housing. These are great budget upgrade to any classic incl sti's and and any new age wrx or foresters.
The vf35 uses slightly smaller p15 exhaust housing so spool up is instant but puff out tiny bit earlier then 30/34.

Also may consider if can find a vf43 from a uk 2.5 hawk sti. Its very nice also and fresher as be off a 06/07. Be similer to a 30/34 but better spool up.

My current daily driver car is a sti6 impreza saloon with very simple mods. Vf35, full de cat, walbro fuel pump and k&n panel filter and of course Ecutek mapped by Bob Rawle to 1.5Bar on E5. Deltadash returned 326bhp/321 ft lbs torque.
Very lively daily runner and anyone considering mods to any classic or new age wrx is welcome to take for a spin.

quick guide

VF22 - 350-370bhp but laggy and v.fragile, doesn't make good torque.
VF23 - 330-350bhp, in between vf22 and vf24-29, nice smooth, good topend.
VF24 - 320-340bhp, spools great tails off a bit top end
VF28 - see VF24
VF29 - see VF24
VF30 - 340-360bhp, similar to VF23 makes more torque
VF34 - 350-370bhp, similar to VF30 but stronger thoughout - best VF IMHO.
VF35 - 330-340bhp, excellent spoolup, good torque, weak topend unless everything else is perfect.
TD05-16G - 340-360bhp - I had 383bhp and 369lbft on my own car at Prosport, tough as old boots spools well with fantastic torque.
TD05-big16 - 350-370bhp - as 16G but more topend.
TD05-18G - 360-380bhp - more of the above IMHO the best turbo for a 2.0 road car!
TD05-20G - 380-400bhp - looses out on torque but get more topend on a STi with 8K rev limit.
MD321H - NOT L/M/S/T 321H - 400bhp.

I would say some of above figures are very off realistic mark...

Also depends on engine and heads incl cams etc. 370BHP outta a vf34. Wats that all about.

Ive heard that vf34 is a 340 max turbo??? Im no expert do.
Daza, any chance you could list the models that each turbo can be found on??

385bhp and 370ft lbs torque outta 16g.

Info is not accurate.
