Has anyone on here got this on their Subaru or other vehicles before? I think im probably going to get mine done in some color over the next few months. Anyone know of any good irish suppliers or installers? One place that was recommended to me was Tint It in sandyford industrial estate..

Anyone know any other places?

I like the look of this:

Matt black blob sti currently getting a members blog written up!! Moriso is members username, should have alot of info for ya.

thanks lads, need to renew my membership on pay day! yeah my paint is in bits and im not arsed paying 3k for a full respray, nice wrap is something different and should take my mind off the paint job!

Hey there Dan! , yes my blob sti currently has a matte black vinyl wrap on it , it's holding up very well and would highly recommend carstyle / carstyle.ie to tint and wrap your car in any colour under the sun!!!!! ;) , as Eli mentioned I have a blog been prepared at the moment and just finishing it at the moment , you should check it when it's up :multijump: :smokesubaru

Not mad on the Matt colours think it can make the cars look cheap some are nice but most I think look cheap
Your looking between 1500 and 1800 euro for a good wrap

Dan if your paint is chipped and all I don't think you will get a good job done... Maybe I'm totally wrong..

IMO the Matt colours make a car look old and rough, alright for a track car but I think you will ruin your style of car with it...
I would agree with the above about the cost, put a few quid with it, and strip the car yourself and you could have her resprayed back to being mint or go a different colour all together..

If its anywhere near 1500-1800 I wouldn't bother. There is plenty of places doing it now so I think prices have come down. I mailed a few places and I'll see what they come back with. Closer to a grand is the most I would pay for a wrap or else do it yourself over a week or two! Material is only 350

[/quote] Maybe so but you really only get what you pay for carstyle is owned by a man named Kon he also had wrapped my A6 Audi avant while he was working for onyx and his quality is second to none , if you strip the car over there you could save yourself 300-500 euro , and if any bits bubble down the line bring it back and hell fix the bits

Everything has to come off the car all the trim door handles the cheap lads will just wrap over them and cut it out nasty job seen some sh*t jobs that cost 700 and some class jobs at 1800
It's a big job can take up to 3 days
If you wrap over dings and chips it will deffo show up on a Matt finish gloss you seem to get away with more
I'd get mine sprayed but if I ever wanted to sell it into the uk I'd just whip the wrap off and sell it that way

Thing is, even if it's a 1k to get it wrapped, I think i reckon if you come away from Dublin prices you could probably get the whole car resprayed the same colour, and a very good job done aswell.

I was price 1k to respray my old m3, or 1500 to change from silver to white.. I would have to pay a guy to remove the front and back window and reinstall when finished... Taking off grills, lights, rubber trim handles mirrors... Etc etc is a piece of piss, and it saves a few quid but also insures you get a good job..

It's not the boom times anymore, prices have come down... Just come away from Dublin to better pricing Dan and re paint the car and do it right.

wrap for 1800??? no way i would be cheaper get full respray. plus as somebody said you have to fix dents and all other bigger damages to paint.
i got some time ago qoute for my old impreza full respray it was 1300 and i know the guys doing good job

Great quote he does a great job , yeah some places dont do inside the doors carstyle does with plastisol but can drive up price ...... Can easily be done at home like I done looks great

How can you remove the scratching from washing the car
Is there away to keep them in good condition
I got my car painted for 2k as a deal for me but as Ken said outside Dublin you'd probably get that anyway
Maybe you should price painting too Dan and see the difference
Anyone know what happens if it gets damaged
And you have to re wrap that area
I'm guessing it will look 2 different shades then etc. :dontknow:

Saw moriso's car the other day and the company he mentioned does a really nice job. Car looks awesome and I had to ask him was it sprayed or wrapped as it was such a good job!

@moriso that was me up in Joe's yard!

All stuff i'd love to know! I dont know any good places for paint jobs in Dublin apart from the place you got yours done Colm, have also heard Dennings are good for resprays but pricey.

Im hoping if sections etc get damaged and need to be replaced that the will match the same, i dont think the vinyl fades too quickly. But as you said after you get a full respray your afraid to drive it incase it gets damaged or scratched up while out and about! Maybe Moriso can do a good write up for us!

If anyone has any experiences or general prices for full resprays anywhere in the country please post up here for discussion. I wouldnt say im a fussy fecker but i notice mistakes in paint jobs or badly done sections etc so i would need a decent, well trusted/ used garage that stands over their work 100%
