How can you remove the scratching from washing the car
Is there away to keep them in good condition
I got my car painted for 2k as a deal for me but as Ken said outside Dublin you'd probably get that anyway
Maybe you should price painting too Dan and see the difference
Anyone know what happens if it gets damaged
And you have to re wrap that area
I'm guessing it will look 2 different shades then etc. :dontknow:
There's nothing special really just be carefull with how clean mitts towels are and always hand wash I use a particular autoglym wax that works best on the vinyl I'll try post a pic later  light scratches can be removed with something similar to t cut

Saw moriso's car the other day and the company he mentioned does a really nice job. Car looks awesome and I had to ask him was it sprayed or wrapped as it was such a good job!

@moriso that was me up in Joe's yard!
Cheers nicknack! Glad you liked it , can't wait to see your forester on the road and mapped !! Good luck luck :multijump:

so it is cleanable i wasn't sure get your blog going so us novices can see more be interesting for lots off lads on here who would go that route

If your staying with the same colour Dan, I don't think you should have a problem getting it done for 1500, even in Dublin

If staying the same colour, if your roof isn't in need of paint, you could just remove the plastic trim on roof and paint into the track.. I'm just suggesting that if your roof is perfect, as it should save money as you shouldn't have to remove the rear and front windscreen.

I think the Matt wrap is hard to pull off, I think it's a kind if a hardcore look, and I don't think it will suit the legacy, I wouldn't even like it on the Bzr above in picture.
I think Colms car looks great with the repaint, I wouldn't think it would look near as clean and fresh with a Matt wrap.

Your well capable of stripping the car yourself Dan so I would be pricing it both ways ask for the respray price first, and then as how much if you strip it yourself?

I've seen that guy rick weldons, think it's lusk and he has a good finish on what I seen anyway.

I also took an s2000 as a trade in one time that was originally grey and Icetronics had painted it pearl white... And who ever painted it was a good painter, looked factory.. Whether you get that same guy now I don't know... But if your straight and say if I'm not happy I ain't paying that should set the standard.

Dans main problem would be that he uses his car and cant do without it
i was able to leave it with them and they pulled it in when quiet
big saving if you can do it that way
the paint wasn't the real cost in mine it was all the dents and stuff
its the prep work that is time consuming
i got it cheap at 2k its usually 3 + vat
but i could have got it done somewhere else for less as Ken says
these places are quiet these days and fighting for business
i think keith dublin only paid 1500 for the type r to be repainted a few years back
there's plenty off good places out there im sure
dennings yes but big money
ill ask on Tuesday down where i got mine done and see do they know anyone cheap
i think youd save big time being able to leave it with them where they can pull it in and out
so its just a extra job on top off what they already have rather than taking up a space they would have had a car for better money in

Cash is king..
Repaint a car is about probably 3-400 in materials... The rest is labour. So 1500 euro is nothing shabby these days

From my experience, painters are a bit like builders, if they think you know nothing about paint, your liable to get a shite job even from a place that does good stuff..

You really need to stress that you want a perfect job, no exception or excuses. And you won't pay for anything else...

You have a push bike so you can use it for the week :)

It is my daily driver but with the weather getting better i could be without it for a week or two, and dust the cobb webs of the bike! im not sure how long your talking about though Colm!

Roof on mine is ok i guess, 1 small stone chip and the usual light swirls, 1 or 2 small dents on the body, its straight enough all round apart from that.

Have you thought about getting a dent wizard at it and then getting a proper paint refurb done, clay bar, compound, polish, sealer etc etc...

Ken if you saw my paint, you would understand. Its beyond help on nearly every panel! If your down at Mondello on Monday you'll see what i mean! Dublin daily driver life is hard on Subaru's!
