this might be a stupid question but dont forget im a newbie so go easy on me, but im just wondering why is there such a big difference in the price of impreza wagons? is it just a popularity thing or are they lesser spec? after seeing some of the prices of wagons for sale im thinking of keeping the ol nissan and gathering up the funds for a wagon.

more or less its a popularity thing,
most people that want an impreza want something similar to the one they see on the stages or on the telly (4 door saloon):subaru:
but they are a few that prefer the wagon :icon_lol: :icon_razz:

another question, ive literally only just been offered an rb5 as a str8 swap for my nissan, everything is telling me to take arm and leg, whats different about the rb5's? again sorry bout the newbie questions

id buy keith555 car
has everything done already
a rb5 would be nice
but you will have to spend a few grand on it to get it near keiths

as above rb5's are a nice impreza but keiths one is something well worth looking at first :subaru:

very true just been reading up on the rb5 nice collectors item but mostly just cosmetic differences, ill just have to hope that the offer of 5k on my car is genuine. isnt it a crazy country we live in people paying more for civics than the likes of kieths car or my own :wall:

dave the rb5 is a limited edition car to commerorate richard burns winning the wrc in 99,most of them had prodrive extras, they are a beautiful car, hopefully the offer you have on your own car is genuine as keiths car is defo worth considering with the engine build a different turbo it is capable of more power with no problems,i thought the rb5 was the one on donedeal which is why i would have said consider it take a look but i wouldnt take an one on english plates as been a limited model it could cost a bit to clear

ye ive pretty much come to the conclusion that ill do what i can to get Kieth's car before he breaks it, if im not able to do that im gonna keep the nissan get a wagon and modifiy it to suit me

I.M.O. I dont think wagons are cheaper
if you see them cheap its for a reason
like all cars
as always you get what you pay for

ye thats what id do as well man its a bargain for the money,if you cant sell your own ther is some seriously cheap wagons out there and are a great car
@ colm look at lars car and the 97 sti wagon in the for sale section two good looking cars for the money defo worth considering there are cheap cars out there that are looked after

thanx for all the help guys, while im annoying you with questions, a friend of mine bought an impreza about a year ago which he was told is a light weight RA, how would one confirm that its actually what he was told it is?

ther is loads of ways to tell, been an ra it should have diff control the best way to tell is to put up the chassis number and someone here can figure it out for you

it definatly hasnt got diff control and also just after reading on wikipedia that ra;s didnt have electric windows and air condition his has both, probably just a regular wrx, spotless car though and at 1400 euro it was well worth it ra or not

There are nice motors out there mate but all in, if possible id be straight onto keith without hesitation, on the other hand wagons are a class car and just as capable performance wise and modifying wise. So all the best with the hunt.

If you want to have a look round a wagon or a drive in 1 gimme a shout....
I'll give ya a quick spin in mine....
