#WANTED# Classic shape impreza sti 2dr or 4dr

I hear what your saying but it comes down to investment! I do believe that type-r impreza's may turn out like toyota twin cam's in years to come. Once they are looked after. they have all the bits and are 2dr coupes! I was thinking of selling mine after buying the 07 spec c but am now going to hold onto it for the above reason!
But sincerely best of luck mate finding what your looking for, really hope you find it, but Id say you'll be waiting longer than you reckon! :thumbsup:

As i currently own a 97 V3 Type R i think 5k is a very good price for the above!

I agree with Jamie that you may be expecting too much from your money but again is your decision to hold out!

I dont know swin and have never seen his car however with the a new bottom end, just fully serviced including all belts,oil + filter,diff and gearbox oil, plugs,new p/s pump,new rad,new thermostat,timing belt/pulleys/tensioners and Nct 30/9/10 3k since test id be very happy to part with that kind of money for it!

I waited almost 2 years for a decent Type R and found it finally in Japan as had been scouring the auctions for the entire time there..brought her over myself and has full test performed prior to bidding and in the end cost me a few bob but got what i wanted!
I was in same boat as you wanting to hold out for the one that ticked all the boxes and IMO that car with the work done is a very good price for what your getting!

BTW the lads on here may appear bias but we all know the level of care and minding that owners on here take with their pride and joys and are only trying to help you!Posting things like 35 replies and only 5 cars is fiercely unfair as knowledge is the most important thing when looking for a 14 yr old subaru and is far more important than if lads were posting up dozens of sh*itboxes for you to look at

id buy your car but i just wouldnt give 5 mate sorry it ticks all the boxes bar the wheels would drive me mad and price ofcourse, otherwise its exactly what i want

i mean this is the nicest way possible but it has being for sale a while now and i must not be the only potential buyer that thinks that, its worth what some1s willing to pay as the sayin goes and people just cant afford the running costs of subarus and the fact there very hard sold now...

im gona hold out and il get what im after, not many cash buyers now

You said a few posts ago that you would be willing to stretch your budget because that car posted in the link by ker99 was a 99 and not a 97.
So, why not increase the budget and buy a 97 with everything you want?.

You have been given some great advice by guys here that have subaru in the blood. You have been given links the great cars too, yet you persist. :doh:

I hope whatever car you buy is a lemon and you come back here with your tail between your legs asking for advice. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.

I hope you get want you want, I really do, but I think you'll be waiting an awful long time.

Yeah these cars are not selling fast. Yeah they have been devalued substantially. Yeah there is a recession. That's why I'm asking 6250 and not the 12,000 it's really worth. Or the 20,000 I've spent on it in the last 2 years..............

in fairness theres a lot of type r"s out there with wrx engines threw into them,badly maintained cars,unmapped cars,cars with dccd not working correctly,i know because i see them almost daily,bad crash damage repairs.believe it or believe it not there are way more bad type r out there than good ones,
people are just cobbling yokes together to sell them on,
its a buyers market to be sure..................but buyer beware.
one case lately was a rebuilt engine in a type r which blew,,only trouble was it was a b4 engine with the lh oil pipes blocked up with weld.and threw into a v5 car
Very easy to get rode out there.
not in every case im sure but you have to be carefull
 
cant get over how worked up lads are gettin, i spent 20k restoring my uk spec twin cam to concourse condition, full bare shell job, 2 years ago it was a 20k car, i had to go through the torture of raffling the car to get 12k back for it so dont fuckin talk to me about tryin to rob a lad thats stuck, thats the way things are get over it, im being honest in what i want, ofcourse il give more than 4k for a car but im not stupid enough to go sayin that, i posted on here because i want a car thats owned by a owners club member and cared for, some of you lads should get down of your high horses and cop on...

this is a thread lookin for a car not abuse because i wont throw my hard earned cash away easy


@as for lads sayin they hope i get stung with a sh*t box well thats probably the worst thing i have ever saw posted on a respectable forum :rolleyes:
