very hard to find a clean one now
a member on here spent months last year looking at them
eventually gave up and bought a new age instead
accident damage and rust seem to be very common
ill keep my eyes out and post up if i see any worth looking

As above, gonna be hard to find a clean type r these days. 5 years ago I couldn't find a clean type r for sale so I can only imagine whats left now

Unless you are willing to pay mad money, and I mean mad money, that could tempt someone into selling a mint one, you are not going to find one unfortunately. I was willing to pay well above the odds for the right one but every one I went to see was fooked. 95% of them have had a lamp post through the rear arch and the ones that didn't were hut heavy in the front. Or actually, scratch that, every one I went to see was hit in the rear arch.

Bring a paint gauge with you and if you find one with all original paint, buy it.. I spent 8 months looking and didn't find one.

SVA imports in the UK have mint examples fresh in from Japan... But theyre mad money.... 6-8k steeling before you consider Vrt etc.

+1

Importing seems the only way,but will cost you newage money. For the price, newage seems best option. Good luck in the search though, hope you get one your happy with.

Thanks for the reply's lads.

@Sweetcakes, funny how you say rear arch hitting a pole! Thats exactly what happened the last one!

Weird it was ex club car an no mention of it

Not everyone likes to advertise when they have a boo boo. It was 2 previous club owners but I couldn't tell you when it happened, just that it did. From what I remember, the quarter had been filled, painted, and I think the door was too. Then you could still see some deformed metal on the inner wing but that happened in ireland at some point as a member here was aware of it and told me.
