wanted pads and discs

right folks im looking for front pads and discs for my 00 b4 leggy. as far as i know the disc diameter is 294 mm. do any of the traders on here sell them? any help appriciated as ive let them wear right down and need to be done soon. thanks
 
afraid there's nothing left on the pads at all.. I can get a price from the lusk motor factors around the corner from me for the pads tomorrow if you like? I'll be goin round anyway to pick up my pads for the new calipers..
 
sorry man i ment to say what condition are the discs in, and if yer there and they have another set of pads let me know. ied appriciate it .thanks
 
i've never had any issues with them.. there is a small lip on them but from what i hear thats just normal and happens over time.. Sure you can have a look at them yourself when they are off the car, im only a few minutes from you anyway so feel free to drop up and have a look..
 
cheers man.....ill check them out when ye have them off the car. i had a look at mine and theres a big lip on them and i dont think its wrth geting them skimmed. gimme an idea of how much yer lookin for them and ill pm ye my number. thanks

From my info this is the the current price and part number of genuine subaru front brake pads.





26296AE210 FRONT BRAKE PADS E81.64 PLUS VAT = E98.78
 
Normal road pads €35 to fit the B4 out of the motor factors in Lusk.

I passed ye there today on my way to work about 6.20pm on the backroads, you were just about to cross the bridge over the M1. Still looking very clean compared to my mank bucket..
 
yeah tried to get a look at the discs but ye were goin too fast :p do they have the pads in stock? its difficult to get to that place cause its allways closed by the time im passing. might see do the lads in finglas have them, they would do the job untill i can get the high spec ones sorted.
 
thanks for the offer, i ordered them in finglas today and at the price im gettin them for they will do till i can get some decent ones like when i upgrade the calipers. im not holdin my breath that there the right ones but the lads in finglas are usually on the ball. the pads are about 30 euro and the discs are about 40 euro each and goin by my bank ballance at the moment its my best option.
ona related subject did you upgrade your brake lines or are you going to?
 
Ye, i have goodridge hoses waiting to go on, along with Castrol SWT Racing brake fluid. Its a B1tch though, cant get a hold of the front pads anywhere other than the US so will have to get them there. The shape is an odd 1 which is where the problem lies.

I have worn down brake pads at home so if you want 1 to give to them to match it up for certainty you can take it away with you

is that because of the new calipers? hope ye get them sorted soon.
if the motor factors dont get the right pads the first time ill pop down and get a pattern off ye. even an outline on a piece of paper or a picture is usually enough.....fair play to ye
 
Mintex and ferodo both make pads that will fit the new calipers i have but they need a notch taken out of them, Mintex only make the racing pad and its €240 so i can get the 1's from US for $150 that fit straight on so i think i'll get them or the ferodo from the UK for £90. On the bright side, the rears were handy to get :lol: :lol:

When do you think you'll have them fitted. Cann't wait to see them when they are.
 
I was hoping today, but after 2 weeks of waiting on the pads I went to pick them up and low and behold, more rear pads!!! I nearly cried.. :cry: :cry:

I'll have to order them tomorrow from the states and hopefully it'll only be a week or so for delivery. I have everyting else just waiting.. Its so frustrating....
 
I'd say so. Post pics of the fitting and finished product when done.
