:lolpoint: Will be looking forward to that one :subaru:
i wonder what time the Gobstopper would do around the top gear track :ponder:

was thinking that today and considering its road legal it could be a goer

that was just a stunt for ferrari. he aint the stig lads. just to through people off the scent

I just watched the first of the new topgear series,
What a load of bull sh1t,
Really really frustrates me that they spend 8 minutes driving the the new lotus, don't mention the size, spec or performance of the motor, and can't spare 1min 22sec to show the lap,
Then throw the FFX into the mix as if it's a last minute thing,(for 1min 10sec total) and no mention of the background of the car, and it's road legality is defo questionable!
And they let Schuey drive "his" car instead of the stig!
The usual stig must be pretty pissed that Schuey is getting all his credit,
The rest was 50 year old train, car, bike race! FFS
I'll stilll watch it every week, just incase they do something properly
Dan

Same thoughts myself to be honest, the series usually gets better two or three shows in to it, so lets see what happens. Defo keep an eye out for the Ken Block feature though, should be good

the show isnt just for petrol heads anymore, i know people who have no interest in cars at all and watch it just to see what the lads get up to each week.....

i must say i never laughed so much as i did tonight, was great, and the buggati and mclaren race was something else :icon_headbang:

Fair play,
Good episode last night,
I enjoyed it!
It's interesting how they drag race different cars over different distances,
eg, if the F1 and the bugatti had done quarter or half mile, the F1 would have won
It depends who they wont to win!
It was interesting that they let the FFX "win" get first place on the leader board when it would have been obvious that it wasn't eligable dew to it running slicks!
At least it's off now and all is fair again, Ferrari must have insisted if they wanted schuey to appear!
Infact I wonder if someone in the BBC is receiving a "thankyou" from FIAT, James may is always on about his Panda, they all go on about the 500 arbath, the Croma won a drag race against an FQ400 and the FFX was fastest car on the board (for a week) :ponder:

On this week's Top Gear, the presenters fight back against the global financial crisis, James May meets a man who can do very surprising things with a Subaru and Jeremy drives an utterly mental Mercedes.

In an attempt to find a glimmer of hope in the barren wastelands of the recession, Jeremy, Richard and James set out to find three small budget cars that won't make you completely miserable. What could have been a series of worthy buying tips quickly descends into a road-based assault on central London that very nearly gets them all arrested.

James meets American stunt driving hero Ken Block and discovers that it's possible to make a Subaru Impreza soar like an eagle. All you need is incredible skill, huge amounts of courage and a really massive ramp.

Meanwhile, Jeremy will be clinging on for dear life as he attacks the track in the monstrous 661bhp Mercedes SL Black.

Back in the studio, our star in a reasonably priced car is well-spoken comedy sensation Michael McIntyre.

Next episode Sunday 5th July, 8pm on BBC Two
