lads need a bit of advice hear, got a strange creakin noise sounds like its comin from the front right wheel only at low speeds like in a car park, dont hear it when im up to speed or if i push the bonnet down you dont hear anything, its almost like the noise a rockin chair might make when your swing on it. :dunno:was thinking it might be on of the appreciated

is the noise only there when the steering wheel, if so i had a similar problem but on the left handside.
i replaced the outer cv joint and it cured the noise for me, a cv joint is roughly about 65 or 75 euro

I have this noise also. CV joints look fine on my car(no leakage). I replaced the drop links on the front anti roll bar as one was worn but this didnt solve the problem.
Ive been told its a dry bushing by one mechanic and a dry or worn bushing on the suspension top mount by somebody else.
Not had it looked into properly yet.
As you describe, happens in car parks etc.

Did you notice if it is less obvious in the wet? Mine is less obvious in the wet. Possibly caused by less grip between the front wheels and the road or possibly because a dry bushing has become damp with the wet weather?

Keep me posted if you find a solution

nice one matt & ben, ill have to listen in the wet, noise only became apparent to me in the last week or so. goin into jomo on saturday so ill ask him and keep ya posted. here have some karma for sharin the info

cv joints click rather than groan. simple way to check is to drvie it in tight circles slowly and listen for clicking in forwar and reverse. cv joints cost 94 euro for spurious ones or bout 120 plus vat for genuine subaru part. it sounds a little bit like a bearing in d hub to me. jack up d car and see if ya can rock the wheel top to bottom if it moves top to bottom it's most likely a bearing. check d antiroll bar bushings at d front for signs of wear.

This sounds similar to a problem i had with my civic, i'd be driving slow and turn and i'd get a horrible creak like you described.

In the end and after 3 hours in a friends garage it was rust on the inside of the hub and on the spines of the drive shaft.

Probably a long shot but if it persists it may be worth a try

lads got Jumo to do a service on the motor on saturday and he cleaned the brakes and put silicon spray on all the bush's in that area. Also moved the backplate a little further away from the disc. and that seems to have sorted it for me. nice one johnny!
