its not that bad of a deal, the radio is very basic and im not a big fan of the antennas. they have a huge spring at the base and they tend to fly all over the place, ok on a truck but not very aesthetic on a scooby. if you were to go on ebay you would get the same stuff a little cheaper but when you factor in the postage of the individual items on ebay it would be around the same. ive not used cbs in years as ive been using hf radios in there place but if i was to buy a midland radio for that money ied go for the midland 78.
i can get the midland 78 for about 100 euro, the same radio is about 130 euro in maplins. the speakers are about a tenor and a small antenna is about 20 euro. if anyone has any old nokia car kit speakers they will do the job nicely.
 
ive bought stuff of them before, but never cbs. thats a good price though. they mainly specialise in uniden scanners. there is another ebay company called rocket radio and prj communications. ive got stuff of them also and had no problems but i mainly deal with the major retailers in the uk like nevada and waters and staunton.
 
Im sure Automania in Ballincollig had some cbs before....but its been awhile since ive been down there Dave.
