Hi folks,
Havent posted in ages but have been reading every single "for-sale" thread with great interest.
I joined up here in the hope of finding a low cost 4wd car I could use during the winter.
(A rwd auto family car that goes nowhere, and a 2-seater kangoo van that goes everywhere doesn't work for a family of 4
)
I fell in love with the older legacy shape.. I like my old-school motors... but I didnt see any good ones for sale in my low low budget that didnt need lots of work.
Am I being realistic in my search for something low cost, with 4wd, that I wont get fed up driving for 3 months of the winter ?
Showing my ignorance, is there anything 4wd available, at low cost, that isnt turbo (and hence big insurance) ?
An alternative is something 20+, (<=1991) so that I can add it to my classic insurance policy relatively cheaply.
I presume this means a gen 1 legacy ? Are there any around, or are they now collectors items ?
And yes, I know I'd need winter tyres too.
My question is, will I find something suitable ? Am I just being impatient, or is it not realistic on a small budget ?
Thanks.
