Another big update... with pictures this time

About 3 weeks ago got the ProSport Halo gauges fitted and work well. As written before, had some issues with boost pressure sensor feed breaking off, but was able to fix it so all fitted now and working well (see pics).

Went for NCT last week.
Was a bit nervous going in as recently replaced OEM cats with a single 200 cell sports cat and got remap by Bob Rawle.

On a positive note: absolutely sailed through on the emissions - and probably good to know and some comfort for others going in with similar work done... Had the car going in hot as per Bob's advice, but then the testers took a break for 20 minutes before testing my car, so she cooled down and I was worried it mightn't pass as too cold - despite the 20 min shutdown and immediate test after start up it still passed with a huge margin (CO = 0.15% HC=156ppm @790rpm and CO=0.04% HC=20ppm @2760rpm) (max CO=0.3% and HC =200ppm).

On a negative note: didn't get my cert... apparently the tint on the driver and passenger windows was too dark (only by a couple of percent). Free retest... however what £$%&@ of a job to remove... Film came off easy... the glue... not so much! - 3 hours with carb cleaner and a lot of raggs later.

Gave her a good clean and polish with Meguire's liquid wax too while I was cleaning anyway... looks very nice and the beading is something else!

Lad i know near finglas Eli. He's done my celica and ibiza when i had them. Just an outside spray so hoping it comes up well.

have to order a new rear reg plate today as yesterday came out from a job to notice my own (isdc surround included) had fallen off in transit somewhere ,or taken ,but im sticking with the first outcome . and wouldnt you know it who was behind me within 5 mins . so as soon as they copped me on with the flashers and siren , so cleverly i stopped in the middle of the road instantly , they pulled up beside me ,blocking all traffic . i explained me story and was asked if i had a front reg to which i replied yes (hoping they wouldnt look at the size of it ) "get it sorted" and off they went . in their lil garda renault kangoo .

so after never losing a reg palate before , this happens as another member has requested me to get him a small reg like my front only this week

Passed the NCT today first time it flew true and I actually got a tester who appreciated the car .. so exhaust tobe put back up and sun strip and small reg he he

Hi Axelf,

Probably replied it the wrong section.

No i just drove in last Saturday morning, had to wait an hour for them to gas it up.

No harm in ringing, so your not left waiting, their quite busy in this weather
