What did you do to your car today?

Well just after midnight (so technically today ) I decided there was no better time to go out and roll around on the ground under the back of the car to replace the 2 registration plate light bulbs and swapped one of the alloys for the full-size spare in prep for the NCT today.

Then failed the test ... on passenger side headlamp alignment. :facepalm

On the one hand I'm delighted that it was only something so minor that it failed on. On the flip side I'm pissed that I have to pay the full re-test fee just to have 1 headlight checked. :banghead

Could have been worse I suppose.

True enough Dec. I already have the re-test booked.

He told me that he also had to get the foreman to approve the STI seats in the front!

Did he approve the seats for you or do they need to be approved when you go back for retest?

Foreman gave them a look - was most concerned with the mounting points. Once he realised they were genuine Subaru seats he gave them the thumbs up straight away. The tester only told me in case they might get flagged next time its in.

Lovely forester there lad!

Since getting mine ive only drove it really. Cant describe how happy i am with the car. Last weekend i gave it a good wash, de tar and clayed it and a quick coat of auto glym super resin polish to keep it clean till i get a chance to machine polish it and wax it! Hopefully this weekend if the birthday celebrations dont leave me too rough haha!

On another note dave from detailing shed met me with a few products last weekend fair play to him, quality service and price too ill definitely be dealing again with him.

Next on the list is full membership here after i pay the home heating bill lol
