the good side is that if you cant use the dishwasher this will teach you a valuable lesson to hand wash after yourself

Never thought about it. You are right.
Want to reverse what I said. I am not going to do this, but still, would be nice to see result using dishwasher.

I jest lads. I learned my lesson a couple years back. We had a dishwasher that was on the way out and a new one on the way to replace it so I said I'd try it for shits and giggles. Feic all of a difference. Proper industrial washer would be the only thing good enough to move any sort of dirt.

I let them soak a bit in AutoGlym machine cleaner and then gave them a scrub with a brush and hot soapy water and a hot rinse.

I'm trying to find out what way these are painted as the paint panther did absolutely nothing. Possibly anodised but I doubt it for KSports. Even the wire brush wont take anything off.

I also thought the colour change was from heat discolouring them on a track day/hot blast but it's only the face of the callipers that have lost the orange so it's more likely cleaning chemicals etc that has worn the colour down over time.

They need to be fully striped bead blasted painted and reassembled as there sitting up that long And look heavily corroded John .

They are the early ones and anodised from memory.

Imo if discs have wear/lip etc.

Sell the kit on.

The cost to strip refurb rebuild and then new dics and pads be far too expensive to be worth it

They have but not below minimum yet. I'm waiting on KSport to get back to me Re: replacement pad clips etc none of the bolts are seized (amazingly) and all pistons are moving freely with exception of bottom two on outer passenger.

Definitely plan is move on to Brembo's eventually but for now I'll strip them down, give them a scrub and a lick of paint to give them a fresh lease for a while.

Lots of learning. Had an "Aha" moment when I realised the drive shafts and hub knuckles are ABS going in to non-ABS car. :hammerhead:

Got the Mothers Headlights done today were very bad happy with the results
