Cheers. You're correct about road noise being the issue. On different surfaces it was very much apparent. The tyres aren't as quiet as others but not the worse either. Being a wagon with slightly more interior space didn't help lol. The exhaust noise was never an issue as it doesn't drone and isn't that much louder than a normal exhaust. Think I might have to correct that bit next [emoji23]Fair play for going to all the effort and the amount of work involved [emoji106]but I can’t see how the car be that loud . Running a spec c as a daily and it’s not that loud at all . Is your tyres the problem with road noise More so that bad sound Deadening
Yokohama Ad08R since last July. Even drove it in the snow. No issues. On a hoon and on track they were epic. Really stiff sidewalls which I prefer tbh. I reckon that's the source of the noise. Tempted to get a spare set of 17 alloys for the Ad08r and something in 18s for daily use.Your running Yokahama advance ? There really a track tyre with Lots of flat surface area for grip so will be a lot louder that standard summer or winter tyres .
But every little helps it’s just a lot of work and time consuming [emoji106]
