What did you do to your car today?

Test fitted my Syms Racing hood scoop today. Nothing was bolted down as I need to get some fittings. I'm still on the fence about it but I'm leaning towards keeping it. The only problem is where the outer edges touching the bonnet but I'm sure I could place padding or tape there to stop it scratching the paint.

I took the snaps for Instagram so that's why everything is vertical but I made a quick thing where they are all joined in one file to make it easier to see here on the forum. It's an interesting piece for sure. It seems to be similar in height to the WRX scoop. Screw following the usual formula.

Looks really odd.. like a large whale...

I?m a purist with the impreza... more function/performance.. than form!

I know your style is more, change it up than all the
Boring Blobs out there!

Doing that will defo change it up... but looks shite!

Be a boring world if we all copied each other though :)

More power to you!

Yeah I concentrate on form. I?m not about speed. I think it?s so odd it?s nice. It was a racing application for their racing team and I?m not fully sure if it was offered to the public. I?ve never seen one on their demo cars.

Aonghus said to do the tgv delete when I was over getting the first map. Heading back soon. A few YouTube clips and I got stuck in.

Tgv delete worth it and even more if you've had downpipe, headers, exhaust and intake work done. AP will map it very well. Looking forward to hearing how it goes after [emoji1303]

Anyone know what I should have the fuel pressure regulator set to, just put 750 cc injectors and a few other bits in but. When on boost she is acting like she is starved of fuel. Also got a camshafts position sensor fault so that might be my problem. The gauge I have is kg/cm2.

Kg/cm2 is same as bar
Most multipoint return type fuel systems are approx 2.5 bar regulated
And add 0.7 bar for unregulated pressure

Lovely stuff,
Thanks for the info
It?s at 1.5 at the moment
I?ll let Aonghus do his thing next week lol

As far as I know, it should be set to 3bar above manifold pressure. When the car is idling, disconnect the vac live to the manifold, set the FPR to 3bar and then reconnect the vac line

there is no manifold pressure at idle its negative pressure (vacuum) hence 2.5 bar regulated ( with vacuum hose attached)

when you put the boot down the manifold pressure equalizes with atmosphere ie .no vaccum in manifold or in pipe to regulator and regulator closes holding pressure at about .7 bar above regulated pressure

six of one

when i say equalizes with atmosphere obviously that is NA engine, turbo will increase manifold pressure above atmospheric

Vrt done and out of the way here and have the car up on stands to do a full detail paint correction and ceramic coating before she see?s road, also going to change all the bushes and have my full Hayward and Scott exhaust system re polished and readdy to go on before I get her mapped
