Bug was delivered back on Saturday after getting some bits done.
Hybrid vf28
Cobra downpipe/sports cat
De-cat up pipe
Sti pink injectors
Rocker gaskets/service
Full geo setup
And a few other bits ticked off.
Plan is to stick her in for NCT, then hopefully get her mapper in the coming weeks..and give her a deep clean/paint correction in the meantime
Yesterday I replaced the carbon mirrors that were on it with OEM ones, however needed to do an Ed China and paint them to match. Turned out decent enough
I sold the 17" OZ ultraleggeras and picked up from Eanna some 18" Oz prodrive PWRC that were freshly powdercoated. Threw on some bridgestones and she sits much better now

Took the car out for the first time since surgery. The battery was dead as it was not being started.
My dad and I went for a little drive to clear the cobwebs. I ordered 2 pillar trims, looks like the clip is broken on the driver's side. Maybe get the rears too if they don’t break the bank. These old parts are often ordered from Japan or UK now.

got my new rear bumper on the other day and while off I got a fantastic opportunity to polish my exhaust!
Autosol metal polish is just great!!
Some major pain in the hole getting at those middle plastic clips to release the centre of the bumper!!!
on a side note for any blob owners…. Maybe all models… not sure!
pull the boot seal up and check it.
flat part of the seal near the lock, check for any rust under it.
also the bumper supports behind the bumper.
sneaky rust spots… I’m sure most know but said I’d say anyway.
daily drmine for years in our winters, so maybe just mine.
be for sale soon for 30k full of 3M sealer

Did you repair it with new metal?
I’m not talking Uk salt type rust!
Surface rust is all, more off colour if you get me.
No flaking or brittle metal.
treated it fully and painted it anyway.

I will never forget “eh.. twin scroll turbo…”???
All those years later I still have the same issues.
nobody has any good products to suit a JDM twin scroll Impreza.
fair play to Joe (24/7 day/night) always the best man to advise and point in all directions
so after selling my minty RCM de cat/Nur Spec R to the gentleman John, I wanted to go NCT spec for ever!
Tried all advice and companies.
No twin scroll sport cats at all.
only story short….!!!
I’ve a mint HKS sports cat on its way
shall be mated with Silent Hi-Power next month.
Once it passes NCT in September my Zero/Sports full, cat system will be for sale.
100% pass for NCT.

so… the HKS cat I got which is mint, is from an 05 wide track twin scroll.
so dopey hole was going around asking for 04 (my car) HKS exhaust systems… not the same as I finally remembered in my old age…
most places I asked could not fathom how an 05-07 cat would fit an 04….
I was getting all sorts of answers and systems…
long story short because it’s widetrack it’s classed as 05-07 twin scroll.
so now I’m waiting on prices from several places.
trying to avoid vat so I’ve been onto Germany and Ireland.
ill update when I hear back.

Hopefully it wasn't around the 9k quoted for a wrx recently
It was what I expected but not as bad as that, thats outrageous man
Cheers grahamo shes only seeing 6k at the moment but a decat booster and an ap map will see 8 grand and a nice power increase can't waitAbove 7 rpm….
