Cheers its hard to look at alright I was expecting an explosion at the time as the fire was right underneath the tank which was 3/4 full so I made sure we were well clear when it caught it burnt very fiercly thats why I thought the damage would be a lot worse but no explosion thankfully but id say I had about 10 mins where I really could have minimised the damage but stupidly I didnt have an extinguisher that's something im def gonna invest in

Still haven't seen car since but front half seemed to be ok it was the fuel tank catching which is right above the diff that did the real damage

Probably to early Paul but what you recon be the thing to do buy a classic doner car engine swap or u recon shell could be saved?

Id say engine swap cos very strong engine and turbo set up in the car and id imagine shell us warped at the back from heatbut ive no idea whats gonna happen to car at min its still with recovery crowd who do work for my insurer who im waiting to get back to me ill prob get the car back if I can at all and break it but I've never claimed for my own car before id imagine their gonna keep it
