what is a fast car ?

Lads,
Just wondering what you regard as a fast car and also is about terms used as in is a "quick car" slower than a "fast car"
I used to regard a fast car as one that did 0-60 in under 8sec, then it went to under 6 sec and now it has to do it in under 5 secs...
 
If I step out of a car with the words "holy jaysus" and then start laughing with excitement then thats a fast car. :lol: :lol:
 
Out of the box(standard) for very realistic money I don't think much will match an Classic sti ra for the "holy jaysas"
 
Was in a friends gtr v spec all i can say is fook me its quick.
Off the lights the type r has it well beat but about 100 the thing just pulls like a train. :shock: :shock:

Had a fiat uno for me first car was afraid to go over 50 in it :lol:
 
I suppose a quick hot hatch is a sub 7 sec 0-60
A quick AWD is sub 5 sec 0-60
I suppose :dunno:

I wouldnt say american cars are fast at all..maybe in a straight line..a fast car in ireland is a scoob or an evo..fast on all types of roads.
Its a relative term anyway after driving aorund in a 300 bhp car day to day your idea of what fast is changes
 
I agree with Dagnut. Your perception of fast dramatically changes when you're used to driving a car like a scooby. Mine has anyway

I did my driving test in a 1.2 fiat punto on Friday and I was nearly jumping out to push it for it to go a bit quicker. The girl that owned it thought it was fast

Ya agree totally with you there.. Was in a gtr Skyline doin an abscene speed and it still had 2 gears left. that was enough for me.

Same here.

When i started driving the scooby i couldnt believe the power (especially the nite i drove it home :worship:) of it now I've become a custom to it.
 
something that causes your inner organs to push against the other side of your body as you corner beyond the a normal sports cars limit of grip.
