What turbo on v5 sti v-limited

Brought my turbo to be reconditioned yesterday, turbo guy says it is td05. is this the original turbo? i didnt think they were fitted to v5's thought the original was a vf series turbo? are they any good? obviously if it is not as good as the original i will replace it instead.
 
Yeah your car should have a vf28 fitted. TD05's were fitted pre 96 I think so maybe someone threw a 2nd hand one on when they blew the original?
 
i must ring the guy coz i was sure it said ihi on the turbo the td05's are mitsubishi Ya?
 
turbo guy just rang there, it is a vf28 so waiting to see what he quotes for rebuild
