What ye think of these?

Well lads and lad'ettes!
I'm mad to get wheels for my white type r and i've been looking at these ones, just wondering from ye thats in the know what ye thought of these, are they good value or would I get a better deal elsewhere. I was thinking of getting the package with the Pirelli Pzero tyres, they seem a bit steep with the Pirelli's but I dont want to skimp on tyres anyway, I want a good all round tyre that will give a bit of confidence.
All comments and suggestions greatfully accepted.
Thanks in advance :subaru:

its a personal taste thing, but my 2 pence worth stay away from Polished lips, and buy something else other than Pirelli, over rated, over priced, wear crap, and side walls blister with smallest pot hole.

Are you aware of Revolution Millenium rims???... Just incase you are not they are cheaper than Rotas, and imo are the only rim on a Scooby... but thats my taste not everyone elses :)

defo agree with you ken revolutions are the only way to go on a scooby and on a white one i would go with white they look class

Polished lips are ok for Show cars, and the likes of the "polished lip on Rotas" is a lot different than that on Works or Rays etc etc.. they tarnish from detergent, Laquer comes off... and disaster if you kerb a wheel, Damage can only really be repaired by and coverd by painting the rims

This is why I love forums for these sort of conundrums, thanks lads  I never thought of the polished lip deterioration over time, I should have known though, I had superlites on my mk2 escort and the polished rim went almost white through time.
I never even considered revolutions, and in white they are pretty sexy. :ponder:

i know ste on scoobymaniacs runs 17 inovits on his classic , he has them in white on his red car and i would have them in my top five for classic wheel choice along with revolutions . agree to "steer" clear of polished lip's . like the lads more of a show look !

i think they would look fab on your classic!! rotas are a very good wheel and by the time the lip gets tarnished you will probably want to change them or respray them for a different look. as for them getting damaged, its the same for all alloys,KEEP OUT FROM THE KERB!!!!!stay away from pirelli.very over priced. have you tried pro-parts in dublin for the rotas.i bought mine there and they were the cheapest out of every 1.alloys are a personal thing,so different strokes for different folks

Thanks for all the feedback lads :subaru:
I hard my heart set on the gold rays or rotas with a polished lip ever since I seen this car, it was this car really that got me seriously wanting a white type r, I even tried to buy it when it came up for sale a few years ago http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg42/dohc_turbo/12356.jpg
But I hear what ye are saying about the lip deteriorating over time, I want a wheel that will last me a while.
Anyone know of a good spot for revolutions, or know of anyone selling a set?

grids are okay, just get some concave ones and they'll look well, there done to death now.

as for tires i swear by vredestein ultrac sessanta,
