lads was offered a 98 v4 typr r wrx impreza (1/1000) needin rebuilt,
with her rebuilt, taxed and tested whats she worth?
also where ius the best place to get crank and bearings,
there is a lad on net sellin them NEW with rods for €480 delivered to ireland??
any help greatly app

sounds very cheap for rods and bearings. First of all strip the engine first to see if the crank is center or rear thrust, the v4's vary. Built it could be worth 7 or 8k but hard to sell anything at the minute
 
ya he gets both types direct from subaru he in austrailia,
is there many of them v4 wrx in the country?
 
No they'd be rare enough here, good few v4 sti type r's but not that many wrx versions.

Not sure what price you're being offered the car for but there's also a type r sti for sale too here, with just the head gasket gone, relatively new engine build too. Might be worth considering.
 
If you are looking for a safe buy then I would consider buying from a long term member, that why you know you are buying a car that has been looked after by someone who understands how to look after a scooby!

that price is for crank, rods and bearings!!! i hear scoobys have some oil pump prob thats why they run dry??
