Thinking of letting the scooby on lads.
It's a standard 03 wrx . The car that's my profile pic. No mods, it made 226 bhp on the rollers last year, it flew through the NCT this year . It's running a dream
So the big question is, what's it worth . Got an offer of 3k this morning out of the blue and he was very serious . That's what has got me thinking.

How many miles on it?

If in good nick and low miles it should be worth 5k no problem

3 is being a bit cheeky imo
 
top of me head i would have thought 3k was bug wrx money . maybe 4 - 4.5k but i could be wrong .

140k on it .
Bodywork is great for a ten year old car.
Red stands out alright and it's sitting lovely
 
Is that miles or Kms? If Kms it's average but if miles it's high

Does your car still run the 18s rota gta wheels, it also has the Sti upgrade rear spoiler

Both would add value imo
 
Sorry duffman that's 140 miles . The rims in the picture are only 17s and yes they are still on it .
New alarm Clifford alarm fitted last week.
When you do think of it , it was a bit of a low ball offer but then the cash is on the table
 
For a high mileage wrx and no hassle sale, its worth letting it go in my opinion.
I'm sure if you engage in some good old fashioned haggling , you might get a few hundred more from him.
 
3500 I would think Stewy as the mileage is high
but its a lovely car and a bargain for someone at that
and especially with the extras
What matters really is what you do next with the money
couldn't see your car been worth much less next year

@ Stewy why you thinking of selling as Colm said ehat would you replace it with?
 
I think its a little low tbh, I can't remember seeing it in person but regardless of the mileage, if it is in good condition body and running, then it will be in the minority and imo worth at least €4k
 
4 at least , lovely car and you would know its been minded , rare enough colour and sensible upgrades , cant see why its not worth 4k at a minimum
 
prob get 3.5 to 4 , but as said already what would ya get for 3.5 to 4 to replace, unless ya want a complete change but subaru is prob the best value for money out there at the minute, for this type of car :scoobyblue_1:

Most lads who do go away from them regret it and end up buying another
I hope you keep her Stewy its a cracking car in my view the best colour and the wheels just finish it nicely :subaru:

yeah i no lads . talk about head wrecking . Was looking at a A4 estate s line in red .
As the scooby is our daily driver maybe the a4 would make a bit of sence.
I wont panic about it anyway . The car hasnt missed a beat . I had an issue with a rad and what looked to be head gasket failure but after a couple of tests and changing the rad that was fucked, and putting on a new coolant tank cap all is hunky dorey .

@ colm . Regrets ..... dont ya know only to well thats what will happen , but the heart and the pocket are two different beasts...
 
Hold onto her and have a think. It will still be worth 3 grand next year if you change your mind. Probably worth 4k now to the right buyer.
 
If you could squeeze another 100 or 2 out of him i'd let it off,it would save alot of hassel/headaches with donedeal etc,its alright saying its worth 4k but its a different story when you go to sell,the miles would'nt bother me but it would but off the man that does'nt mind giving top money,thats just my opinion,it's your car at the end of the day
