whats the green stripe?

They have this stupid rule this year that you have to use both types of tyre during the race, so at some point you will have no choice but to use the "wrong" tyre.
The super soft tyres only lasted for about 15-20 laps in Monaco today, which was less than most teams were expecting so it messed up a lot of teams strategies.

there are only 2 types of tyre?
supersoft and what (hard?)
do they not have wets anymore?
and wahts the deal with qualfifying?
and the fuel at the start?
havent watched f1 since 1994

They can have full wet tyres if it rains, but intermediates are not allowed this year!
The choice of tyres was supersoft and soft in Monaco today.
Qualifying is split into three sessions now, fastest 15 cars in Q1 make it into Q2, and the fastest 10 from Q2 make it into the final session Q1.
In the final session of qualifying they have to fill up the cars with the amount of fuel that they intend to run in the race.
I find that a bit annoying because the fastest time of the day might not get pole position! Kimi set the fastest overall time on Saturday but that time is ignored because it was set in Q2! A few hours after qualifying they publish the car weights so you can then calculate fuel corrected times to see who really performed the best!
The whole idea was to get a full hour of track action, to make better TV.
If you remember from before when they would just wait in the pits until the last 5-10mins of the session!
